Proposal Development Request

Thank you for your interest in SNRI Department Research Administrator (DRA) support for extramural funding.  The link below allows SNRI Research Administrators to prepare a Cayuse record, preliminary budget, and review of solicitation requirements for submission.  We appreciate as much notice as possible so that we can assist you in all of you administrative needs, but a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the application submission deadline is requested for standard/basic proposals and 5 weeks for complex/multi-campus proposals.  A DRA will reach out to you within 2 business days of the receipt of your request.

Please note that SPO (Sponsored Projects Office within ORED) requires a minimum of 5 business days for review for all proposals, including preliminary proposals, letter of intents, subrecipient proposals, etc. More information can be found here:  https://spo.ucmerced.edu/develop-proposal

As of 6/11/2021: To comply with foreign influence requirements and to ensure consistent application of federal requirements across campus, all new proposals will now initially pass through the Sponsored Projects Office form called the “Proposal Submission Request.”  Please click the button below to be taken to the SPO website for the “Complete a Proposal Submission Request (PSR)” button.  You will need to log-in with your UCM credentials for submission.

For question number 3, please be sure to select “Sierra Nevada Research Institute (SNRI RA Support)” to ensure SNRI Department Research Administrators (DRAs) receive your proposal for pre-award support.  This will also ensure that SNRI DRAs support these projects in post-award.

For any questions related to SNRI managed proposals or awards, please contact SNRIgrants@ucmerced.edu.
